Things around us are always changing whether it is for the good or the bad. It has been said that nothing is certain and nothing will remain the same forever. There are so many endangered places I want to see and hopefully get to see.

I am guessing everyone who is currently reading this blog has heard of “Jersey Shore.” It is one of the current hits on MTV. I did not think much of it because I thought it will be another MTV “reality” show. One day, I went on youtube and discovered “MTV DJ” Pauly D from Jersey Shore. After I watched one of the videos, I can already tell that he untalented and cocky.
There are three types of DJs:
- The bedroom/ipod DJ
- The ones who are decent
- The ones who are innately talented
The worse thing about Pauly D is that he does not really fall in any of these categories. He is so bad at mixing but he is popular amongst girls. My iTunes is better at mixing than he is, yet he is able to lands gigs that pay out $10+ a night. He is no where close to the status of DJ AM yet Pauly D wants his job according to the Boston Herald.
It is one thing to be new and learning, it is another thing to have at least 15 years of “experience” and still suck. I am not sure if that is how East Coast does it, but here in the West, we need to know how to beat match to be considered a DJ.
With his connections, I will not promote myself but to get MTV to connect me to a DJ Academy or other DJs who know how to mix.
If he becomes a mainstream DJ for MTV and celebrity-hosted parties then it will forever tarnish the name of MTV and DJs everywhere.
